What I have learned…
You get to a point in life, that you finally start to realize what is important, what is worth your time and energy and most importantly…what you will and will not do!
For countless years, I have strived for perfection and absolutely live and breathe perfection. To say I am a perfectionist is an understatement!
I began kourture in 2012 in a very low point in my life and wanted to make it perfect and release it to the world!
But, loosing my job after 15 years, trying to get kourture going while working 3 jobs and surving…was quite the challenge!
As time went on, kourture got pushed to the wayside and I couldn’t find enough time to dedicate to it and perfect it. And with landing the dream job at 2 Places at 1 Time in 2013, it definitely got pushed back farther.
Many of my clients knew of my blog, kourture, and excitedly waited for me to release it! But, as time went on…I just couldn’t balance it all.
But, here we are…2 Places at 1 Time has dissolved and the time has come for me to take kourture and run with it! No more saying…it is not perfect, I need more time, I just have to tweek it, etc.
I have taught myself how to create, build and release my blog/website all on my own and couldn’t be prouder of myself. I know there could be an error here and there and maybe it’s not perfect. But, that is OK!
Sometimes perfection is not always the right answer! Sometimes, taking the gift of time and opportunity (that you didn’t realize is the best thing to come!) is the best way to do it!
So, I set aside my perfectionism and encourage others to do the same! If you have a dream, do not let the idea of perfection hinder your spirit and goals! Let it go! Just go for it!
Remember that is why there is erasers, delete buttons and almost anything of this nature can always be corrected!
Until next time…
