Say Goodbye to 1% Savings at Target Starting April 7th 2024 - Tomorrow!
Tomorrow, April 7th, 2024 is the day for Target’s New Circle Program!
If you were not keeping up with the news released from Target in early March 2024…I’m sharing the pro’s and con’s!
For the power shoppers of Target (such as myself!) my favorite thing of their Cirlce Program was the 1% back on all purchases! It was the BEST, as it came free with the free Target Circle Program!
I’ll be honest, I was rather surprised with the negative uproar on social media when they announced the new program coming! I was thinking that they were improving the program by extending the Target Circle Savings to everyone.
Meaning there would be no more going in the system and having to “select/click/search” the offers, as it would now just be automatically applied when you checked out. HUGE SCORE with the time & money saver!
Being a personal shopper/organizer, I knew I needed to do a little more deep diving and find out the in’s and out’s. So, I decided to reach out to Target via phone and email to understand the changes. I must say the customer service was quick and outstanding!
Sadly, I learned they would be DISCONTINUING the 1% back on all purchases! Ughhhh!!!!! That was the #1 reason I did so much shopping at Target! I have truly loved the benefit over the years of the 1% savings and then indulging on something special for myself, husband and/or family!
***From the Target website FAQ’s page*** “Will I still get 1% earnings on my purchase? We’ll be removing the 1% earnings. As we evolve the Target Circle™ experience we’re reprioritizing to focus on access to automatic deals, personalized bonuses and much more. Your current amounts won’t be impacted. They’ll still be available once the new program launches unless they aren’t redeemed before their expiration date.”
I was VERY DISAPPOINTED in this news, and it will ultimately change some of my shopping habits unfortunately with Target!
The positive news for all is they are making their Target Circle Program completely user friendly for all and all discounts they have going on will automatically be applied to purchases! Which ultimately means no more selecting/clipping/searching” for the deals! Whooo Hoooo!

The second positive news is they are keeping the 5% discount when you do have a Target Circle Mastercard, automatically deducted off your purchase at time of purchase.

The third positive news is they are offering a new program Target Circle 360! This is great for those that would like to take advantage of same day delivery, no rush returns (extra 30 days) and free 2-day shipping on hundred of thousands of items! This is an annual membership fee of $99 a year (at the time of this blog post release 4/6/2024) but they are offering a special of new member annual promotional price of $49 valid April 7th through May 18th, 2024!

The fourth and final benefit (my FAVORITE!) is they are still keeping FREE online ordering with pickup in store/curbside pickup with no minimum!

This is HUGE! As many stores have a minimum of ordering (usually no less than $35) and is a huge benefit for all to utilize! This will be a reason for me to still stay dedicated to Target for sure! This is so crucial especially when one’s in a hurry, under the weather, time saver, etc.!
Hopefully this fills you in on the new Target Circle Program coming tomorrow, Sunday, April 7th, 2024! Obviously, the biggest con is the discontinuation of the 1% savings (worst decision ever in my book!), but as you can see from my blog post…lots of pro’s to be gained and enjoyed by all!
